Yes 4 out of the 5 non-furry people in our family are sick :( I have a fever, chills, nauseous and sore throat. Carmela still has a bellyache and is not eating, and Joey had a fever all night long and was up several times. He's not eating well either. Juliana's belly isn't doing well either. She is barely eating, and taking her bottle. I asked Chris to take her to the doctor when she wakes up from her morning nap.
Sleep is a whole other subject. Last night she went from 7-11 pm. Then went back down at 12:30 and slept until 4:30. Then was up until 6:30. Then Chris took her downstairs and she was on/off on him until 8:00. At 8:00 I gave her some baby oatmeal with pears. She ate like3 spoonfuls, and then didn't want it so I gave her some peas. She ate a handful of them. At 9:30 she was tired so I gave her a bottle and she ate 4 oz. At 10:00 we went to lay down, and she was crawling all over the place, wanting to play. I put her in her crib and rubbed her belly until she fell asleep around 10:20. She cried out twice already just real quick cries and it is only 20 mins. So not sure how well she is sleeping.
I finally looked over her papers last night and the day before she left, she had a well baby visit and she was 17 lb 6 oz. and 28 inches tall. She is babbling and cooing a lot. She smiles once in awhile, but also cries out for no apparent reason. She also cries out for "mama" which I am sure is her fostermother. I know we are not seeing her full personality quiet yet, and think we won't see it for some time still.
I am off to watch the Cars movie with Joey....

Oh, Jackie...I'm so sorry you are all not feeling well. You must be just exhausted. I hope you are all better very soon :)
I've been following your journey on the Holt BB and I wanted to let you know how happy I am that she's home and in your arms. Best wishes for this transition time. I know you'll do great with lots of love and snuggles!
So sorry you are all under the weather--yuck!! It sounds like Juliana is doing as well as can be expected at 2 days home and you're doing a wonderful job with her!!! In another couple weeks, hopefully she'll really blossom. It is amazing for me to look back and see just how far Briar has come in 3 short months--the time will fly by!
We found out right before Briar came home that that "mama" in Korean actually means food! When Briar cried for her foster mom, it sounded more like "eeeeommma" or just "omma". However, based on her not feeling well, Juliana probably is crying for her foster mom, not food!
So glad your precious princess is finally home!
This too, shall pass! Just keep reminding yourself that.
I think her sleep schedule seems to be about right if you figure she is most likely eating every 4 hours (or supposed to be). When I was fostering M she was like clockwork for a bottle in the night.
Given that you are all sick, you all seem to be hanging in there! :)
I can't wait for you to begin seeing her personality.
Jackie,
I'm so glad your little girl is home safe!!! YAY!!! Good luck with the transition...it can be tough at times but it is also very rewarding. I can't believe Danny is home with us for 6 months...the time does go by quickly. Danny still uses the work "mama" to let us know that he is hungry (like Kelly said). When Danny came home, he wouldn't touch any "baby" food...all he wanted was "table" food. Of course, he was also 3 months older so this information may not help you out at all. I'm sorry most of you are feeling icky. I hope everyone is better soon. We'll have to get together sometime down the road. As for now, good luck getting some rest!

She is just precious! We received our referral December 16th. We are being told our travel call will be soon. Their famous last words. I've been following your journey. Found you on holt bb blog. Thanks for the updates. They really help. I hope you are all feeling better soon. Take care of those kiddos.
