We had gotten fingerprinted at our local UPS store on Tuesday, and they confirmed what our homestudy agency had told us -- expect results in 2-8 weeks. Without that, our social worker could not write up our homestudy so I was pretty upset to think that we may have to wait 8 weeks to get our homestudy written (Cecilia will not give us a referral until we have our homestudy written).
So imagine my surprise this afternoon when I go to my mailbox and open two envelopes with our FBI clearances!!!!!!!! They came in FIVE days! That relieves a lot of my stress for now! We just need our homestudy appointment next Sunday, then the ball is in their court to get the homestudy written.
In the meantime, I am waiting to get our little postcard from USCIS inviting us to go get fingerprinted for our I600A. I am hoping we can receive that before we go to Disney so that once our homestudy is received by them, they can work on our 171H.

I'm surprised at how different things are for different states, even through the same agency! Fingerprinted twice? Ok...?? The home study is a cakewalk, so no worrying!:) And enjoy Disney! Can't wait to hear more.
