Still waiting....

Some are asking for updates so I figured I'd post the latest...nothing is going on. I am quite frustrated myself. I received that phone call on New Years Eve stating that our I600 was approved, yet I still haven't received the approval in the mail! I've been calling the Visa Center daily asking if they've received it and we haven't been logged in yet either. I did call the man that I spoke to on the phone and he said to expect 7-10 business days, which would mean by next Friday we'll receive it. If I don't get it by then, I will have to call again and see what's up! Patience is not my strong point, but I am just confused because he did say he was mailing it to me and I know mail from Philly to here does not take more than one week -- nevermind 3!

Really really good news to a friend of mine. She is with the same agency and adopting a gorgeous little boy who is COMING HOME on Tuesday, January 20th! I am so so happy for Angie and her family! Angie has been such a wonderful help to me with all my paperwork in the beginning and I wish her and her family the best! I can't wait to see pictures of her family of five as they welcome little Levi into their family!

Unfortunately with good news comes more bad news. I don't know what it is in 2009, but bad news is everywhere, and it all deals with death. Unfortunately, last Saturday someone I knew lost their 2 year old daughter. I am not sure what the exact cause was but I do know that it was very unexpected. Then, I found out that a friend of mine's friend lost her battle with cancer. She died this week and left behind three children (6 and under) and a wonderful husband. Please take the time to hug your children and your spouses extra tight tonight.
