I600 approval!!!!!!!1

I had such a tough morning. Today is my friend's husband's funeral, so I was on edge all morning. I woke up feeling sad and put off by that. My thoughts were with Lisa today.

As I got my coffee, and got my kids settled in an activity, I turned on the computer and checked my email. I received an email from Immigration stating that they still have not received my homestudy report, or my I600. I was so on edge that I broke down. I tried to call my agency, but they were not at work today. I cried some more. I wrote back to the man, giving him the info I had, and telling him that something was wrong. I decided I needed to wait for my agency to get back to me and we needed some sort of confirmation number that everything was sent.

About 4:30, as I'm blow drying my hair, my phone rings. Chris gives me the phone stating "its the man you emailed today". I was surprised. He says that my file is a "mess" and asks me to go over all the dates that I did things, and asked me to find proof that I sent in my check. I went crazy looking through my files. He then found it on his own in his file. EVerything he asked me to find, he followed it with "oh wait I see that". It seems whoever was receiving my stuff was filing it in my physical file, without updating the computer. So when I called him, he would look on the computer instead of my physical file, and not see that I had it all and was ready to be approved.

So he said instead of making me wait any longer, he'd just approve me today!!!! He said my file should be at National Visa Center in about a week! I can't believe it! We have approval.
