Happy Monday! (yeah right!)
We had another busy weekend this weekend. Of course I came down sick Thursday, and it lasted throughout the weekend. As a matter of fact, I still feel sick today. At any rate, we had Aunt Lucy's wedding on Saturday at the Breakers in Spring Lake. It was a rainy day outside, however, the wedding was beautiful and of course, we had fun. It is so much fun hanging out with my mom and her boyfriend, John, and of course my sister and my brother in law. We really are a close knit bunch. Aunt Lucy was a gorgeous bride, and Tom was so happy, you can just see it in his eyes. What a beautiful wedding!
My Mother in law came over to watch our kids on Friday night. We told her the adoption news then, and I think originally she was shocked. The next morning, after sleeping on it, she seemed to come around. It was nice for her to spend the weekend with the kids. They both just adore her, and love when she comes over. Carmela didn't cry when she left this time, and I think its because she really missed me this time. Joey, on the other hand, could care less that I was gone. Funny how the kids go through stages.
Well I am off to the gym, despite my sickness....I found out last week that while my cholesterol is in the normal range, my good cholesterol is low. I didn't think anything of it until I looked it up online and it looks like that is just as bad as high cholesterol! Talk about feeling like a blob being 31 with cholesterol issues! LOL! So here I am....back to the gym, eating right and getting my life in order LOL!
On the adoption front, there is no news. We have a list of 10 items that we need to get going on (can you imagine with Guatemala adoption it was easily a list of 20 items that we needed -- this is a breeze to us!) We are waiting to hear from the social worker. Of course I have no patience so if I don't hear by nap time tomorrow, I'll give a call and see what is happening :) Oh this agency will love me when all is said and done!
