I received some wonderful news yesterday! Four babies from my agency are being escorted home on Wednesday! Woohoo! They have all been waiting for 4-5 months, and are so excited to meet their little ones.
Yesterday was tough for me. I was thrilled for my friends, and not at all surprised that Juliana will not be on their flight, however, I was feeling very scared that I would be left alone in the dark for weeks on end with no travel call in sight. So I gave in and emailed my agency. I love my agency for their quick, ethical process, however they do not hold your hand whatsoever throughout the process so I was really afraid that I would hear the same old "4-5 months from referral". This time I didn't though. I received an email back from our agency director stating that she's been working very hard on bringing my daughter home, and that it should be soon! That was MUSIC to my ears. I then found out from some other adoptive parents that brought their babies home through the same agency, that when she said "soon" to them, it was the next day that they received their travell call. Can I be so lucky? Only time will tell.
Joey and I spent the morning doing laundry and making tee shirts for my neice and nephews. We got them "I'm the big cousin" tee shirt. I hope they like it.
I spent last weekend with my best friend Anthony and his girlfriend Shannon and her gorgeous 3 year old son, AJ. I was able to hang out with them and get all our baby stuff out. Our house has an exersaucer, jumperoo, highchair, baby toys all around again! I hadn't realized how much I missed this stuff, until I brought it out. I also was able to wash some of Carmela's baby clothes for Juliana to wear and it was so neat to remember Carmela in the outfit, and daydream about Juliana in them.
Lastly, on Sunday Carmela and I hit up Walmart and Babies R Us to buy some more essentials. Nipples for her bottles, socks, shoes, Little Sister tee shirt, bibs, burp clothes, etc. Carmela insisted that I buy her a "I love my big sister" bib as well, of course :)
The kids are just so excited, the house is all ready, and I am about to explode with anticipation -- Juliana we are ready for you!!!!
Will keep you posted :)

I hope that you get that travel call real soon. I hope that you get a surprise phone call from your agency saying those beautiful words go get your daughter. She is coming home!
hello.. i was just wondering what agency you have been using. your wait has been so little. Which is amazing and i know you can't wait to get ahold of your sweet angel. We have been waiting 6 months for a referral and nothing. I was just wondering what agency you guys used and maybe i should look into it. If found your blog through the holt forum. Thanks, Rhea
"Soon" has never sounded so good! I'll be hoping for some good news for you "very soon!"
Rhea I am with Love the Children who works with families in PA, NJ, MA and NY. I would check out their website. They have a ton of "rules" that makes it harder to use them, but because of that the waits are short. Good luck to you!
